Abbreviations have been a part of culture for centuries. They live in our language and sleep on our tongues. But, just like most things, they have an unsavoury side to them, and by using George Orwell’s 1984 as a the foundation, abbreviations role in society can be explored in more depth.

From words we don’t use to ones we use too much, sometimes times dictatets the moment for a new one. Here’s the case & reasoning for that!

For this post, I'll be diving into the idea of the difference between high-quality and meaningful quality, and the role that the Arts & Crafts Movement had in directing this. As well as, looking into the relationship between man and machine; how one of them is taking over in the wrong way..
