‘Fairy Lights on Christmas Eve’

The house is soon to be decorated with an array of reds, golds and greens as the tall pine is chopped down and brought inside. It’s earthy, fresh fragnance fills the house while leaving a trail of deep green needles behind. A roaring fire crackles in the background as the boxes are opened up and a layer of dust is swept off. The fairy lights are pulled out and strung from top to bottom of the house, their warming gold tips dispel the darkness that December brings. This piece was inspired by the bustling festivities of Christmas time and the anticipation of the birthday of Christ!

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. ”

― Norman Vincent Peale

“The sight of a tree at night full of glowing Clabbert lifestyles, while decorative, attracted too many Muggles wishing to ask why their neighbours still had their Christmas lights up in June.”

― J.K. Rowling, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them
